Has nothing to do with timber value. They’re invasive. And they start looking trashy after about 6-8 years.

Bradford Pears become dangerous after 15 years or so. They drop big branches and their trunks split. I was about 30 seconds from being under a falling branch of a BP this summer. Many vehicles are damaged by their falling branches. I advise all my clients to remove BPs if I see them on a clients property as they are a huge liability. Do Not Plant Bradford Pears.
