I said nothing of success. I said "draft status" of a career starter playing one more year.
Can Jayden Daniels have a very good season next year as a college quarterback? Absolutely.
Will his draft status improve from where it is today? Very doubtful.

All of those guys have improved their draft stock though.
In footbal, age development is a little less sensitive compared to other sports
Joe burrow in two years went from having no draft stock going into 2018 to being the 1st rd pick.
Jalen Hurts improved his draft stock immensely as a 4th year player.
It’s proven time and time again that development is not always completely linear.
