Florida
LSU
UGA
Bama
AU/Tenn
Arkansas/Ole Miss/USC
Kentucky/Miss St
Vandy

And yes, Vandy is a harder place to win than Miss St, especially if Tennessee regains their footing.

Florida for sure just because of the number of highly recruited players in that state. Bad thing is FSU and Miami also pulling.

The second one I'd say is LSU. May be a bit homerish but being next door to Texas helps us with recruiting.

California, Florida and Texas are the top three states as far as most talent coming out of, easily. Just by the sheer numbers of high schools.

Line em up. LSU, UGA, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Even Auburn would be attractive to someone looking to play in the premier conference. Pretty sure every homer will spank his own monkey over this, but I think to compete you have to pay the money other SEC coaches are paid. Each spot has its benefits and each its drawbacks. If you were a coach offered all six, without the homer goggles where would you go? If compensation was even. shite, that's a stupid question.

I would say Alabama. The sky's the limit if it would make them relevant again. Education is not important.

Most of the schools in the nation don't hold their athletes to the academic standards of the general student population. NCAA standards are all that matters.

Tennessee days of being in the SEC elite are over. They can no longer recruit the south like they did and nationally who wants to come there? The instate talent is basically the same the as Arkansas and Kentucky.

Close but I'd put
Bama,FL, UGA and LSU on same level. The rest looks about right but maybw KY is up with USC,Ark, Miss and USC. But all this assumes the status quo. I think we see Tenn get a top coach and improve their facilities and get back competing for top in 3-4yrs. Arkansas will get alot better with Petrino.

disagree. much as i hate it, tennessee has enough prestige, tradition, fansupport, facilities etc to attract enough studs to continue to be a force. its a little harder when you cant lock up 3/4 of your classes in your back yard, but still very doable for ut.

I agree with this list. Reason Florida is a notch above everyone else is because they're like Texas and California with their fertile recruiting grounds ... Actually LSU with its recruiting situation may actually be the #2 job in terms of the best overall "situation." a notch below Florida.
