It’s interesting to many fanbases because they paid a shite ton of money to kids that otherwise wouldn’t have gone there. They had a shite season that included some of them getting suspended, and rumors of many of them being unhappy and likely leaving via the portal. The transfer portal is a big deal in college football now.

3 of those guys didn't even play. One was a medical retirement until he was cleared to play and LJ Johnson has been with the program from 2 years already.

Players aren’t as emotional as fans. Their players didn’t win a game and think “we are back”. Much like our players don’t think “we suck”

That’s a bad environment to go 5-7 and not play. They will lose guys but not the dudes that played a lot. I think most of those try to stick together

Exactly the type of player many speculated would leave. Big time recruit, minimal playing time as a true freshman.
