He was sent packing because he tried to stay out of the politics.


The other executives put him in front of a color revolution style meeting to where he was shamed and forced to apologize.


He still was not VOCAL enough for them... in other words, Disney just doubled down on this path

I really have to disagree. Chapek could have stayed out, but he caved and lost RCID as a result. That is one of the biggest losses TWDC will experience in its existence unless the company goes bankrupt.

Their share price tanked from the 130s to 91 since March.

Iger was much less vocal about political issues. Whether or not he greenlit woke projects, we won’t necessarily know. But he hasn’t been an open book on politics and the woke like Chapek, and I think that’s one of the reasons they brought him back. To stabilize the company and find a more polished heir apparent.
