I'd like to hear Hanson's critique of "Effective Altruism". Of the which I'm sure that the BABL are disciples of.
Hmm, the above acronym brings to mind 'Babylon' in my mind. More religious fanaticism I reckon.
IMO, the talk is no longer about solving a problem; it's about individuals making a personal choice of exactly what the choose to believe. Satan appearing as "an angel of light" (Effective Altruism?) and belief in innate personal goodness with no need of 'salvation' as opposed to the innate flawed nature version. "...separate the wheat from the tares".
To each their own.
