This. putting based in quotes is right. I was so angry that they wasted the IP for that shite that it clouded my judgement on the movie at first. Movie wasn’t bad but the book was so much better.

I like the movie a lot but they could have called it anything else and been a good movie. Kinda sours the book.

I caved and watched it. It is a decent film, for what it is.
By contrast, and if done right, a 20-30 episode limited series would be absolutely EPIC.
