You’ll get double the life from a good stick smoker or Kamado style grill.

ETA. Most people I know with pellet grills have had at least 1 major fire.

What kind of dipshits do you hang out with? I’ve used mine regularly for a few years now and haven’t had any issues at all, nor has anyone I’ve ever know who’s had one. They are super easy to use and almost idiot proof.

This is the opposite from what I've seen.
A very dear friend of mine is an absent minded retard who lives in a big arse house in Monument, Co.
He's got a nice Traeger right outside his kitchen door on a wooden deck(2nd story).

If anyone could frick up and burn the house down it would be this guy. He forgets fricking everything. We have been at the bar down the road for hours before he realized he left it on. Apparently you can turn them on and off with an App. That was cool. And neat safety feature.

We've smoked stuff in it over night more than once, sleeping 5-6 hours while it ran just fine.

If this dude has used it over 100 times in 2 years without incident, I'd vouch that they are pretty fricking safe.
Look at this pic. It's also worth mentioning, He don't even pull it away from the house when using it.
