I assume that you are talking about a post in which I specifically referenced news stories, but knock yourself out.
I'm referring to your definitive statement that drag queens do not dress provocatively at these shows.
Either you don't know and are lying or you do know and are lying.

Well hank?
what is the difference between a drag story hour that allows children, and a drag brunch that allows children?
Again if it really was all about the children then why the need to be in drag?
Children are allowed in bars and restaurants that serve alcohol with the accompaniment of their parents/adult. Why would children be excluded from drag/burlesque shows if just for the alcohol, like you said?

Yes, the acts are often rather sexualized as I understand the matter.

It sucks that these threads get so heated.
Just know that there are many of us Conservatives out there who love our family and friends who just happen to be gay and don't see their sexual preferences as their entire personality.
We will often times say things that are a little hard-edged when we partake of these threads.
No offense intended.

What costumes have you seen at these shows?

do you not believe that society needs to have some norms?

who decides these norms?

when does your "freedom" invade others "freedom'?

should everyone decide what they're "freedom" is in public?

Why in the frick did you say the ones you've attended did not have queens dressed sexually?

Bingo.
Be a human being, not a "White male, gay man, tranny, etc"
I treat people with respect as individuals until they give me reason not to.
Sexual orientation is faaar down the list of things I feel should be expressive. It should be hidden around children.

There's absolutely no reason to put that stuff on children though. Teach them to respect people as individuals and they'll accept diversity.
exactly! again this drag queen story time is for the queens to get attention & become more acceptable. despite aggiehank's distorted premise, it's not for the benefit of the children
in aggiehank's distorted logic--- keep my children away, then I'm encouraging "bigotry and prejudice"

So Hank made a definitive statement (with no room for variance) and has not been to ONE DRAG QUEEN STORYTIME SHOW.
Who is being disingenuous now?

If it is sexualized, then why are they allowing children? Is this an instance you would want "authoritarian" measure being used against parents that bring their children to sexualized drag shows?
Have you been to a drag queen story hour? Are they sexualized? If not, then why the need to dress up in drag? What is the purpose of dressing in drag in order to read to children?
Third, are you aware of the tranny/drag community outside of what you read on the internet?

I prefer a world where all cultural norms aren’t necessarily determined/dictated by the whims of elected officials. It seems so sort of “Soviet” to me otherwise.

And if there's one thing we know about the Media, it's that they NEVER lie or distort to fit an agenda.
Apparently YOU (who still won't give his 3 go-to, unbiased sources for news) believe everything they say about these events, without question.

If drag story is not sexualized, then why the need for the costume?
