That one submarine does not have the same lethality of all our nukes. We have the largest nuclear armed navy in the world. 26 fast attack Los Angeles class subs, 3 Seawolf class subs. Plus the land based nukes.

If Putin were stupid enough to try that all life on earth would end. America has enough missles to end that life on its own, without other nuclear armed countries getting into the fray.
