I like the Work Sharp. Buy extra grits/belts, practice first on old knives and learn to free-hand with it. I bought a leather belt for it from Amazon and once they’re sharp the leather is all you need for maintenance.

I did just get a Work Sharp Precision because I have a knife in S90V and regular abrasives won’t do much with it. Still sorting it out and it’s nowhere near as quick as the power belt but it’s also a lot harder to make mistakes with it you have some nicer blades.

Which grits beyond the 120/400/1200 that come with the machine do you recommend? What sort of progression do you use when sharpening?
