Minorities and the GOP - 70% vs 80%

My rural county is a bit more than 70% White. Three days ago, my county voted a bit more than 80% GOP.
This suggests to me that the GOP is FINALLY making inroads into the minority vote ... in rural areas.
So do we have a significant dichotomy between the voting patterns of urban minorities and rural minorities? If so, is the GOP doing enough to focus specifically on those minorities where they have a CHANCE of gaining some traction?

It may be more related to minorities not voting in your area versus them switching to R

My guess is that in your county the white turnout is higher

My county has 21k people: 50W/48B/2L and the vote was 60% Republican, and I’ve had the same thoughts as you.

Black men and Hispanics love Trump. Black women are probably a lost cause, but Trump was very popular among middle and lower class working people

Criminal justice reform, proper funding of HBCUs, low unemployment, higher wage increases, higher home ownership were things white liberals promised for decades but wouldn’t do. Trump did all that halfway through one term. Some AAs caught on, most didn’t

Trump finally showed them The Plantation Groomers don't care about their problems, just wanted their votes.
Who brought about the lowest unemployment in African-Americans since this Nation's conception?
Answer: The Man that broke you. Donald J. Trump

Interesting data. How do you think it applies to the question presented?

You would have to break down voting demographics to prove what you're claiming for your county. For example, if only 10% of the total votes came from minorities, then 80% GOP doesn't really mean anything.
Now that's not to say there isn't a shift in how Hispanics are voting. It's just that the way you're looking at the numbers is wrong.

But you can't ignore the tone in which he delivered some of his achievements. The guy literally began his campaign by trashing Mexicans and rarely tried to make inroads with African Americans. We can sit here and debate whether he said "They're rapists" vs "Their rapists". But the mere fact that the debate even exists says it all.
Trump policies weren't unpopular. But the rhetoric he used to excite the poor, uneducated whites turned off a lot of conservative minorities. It was not a smart, long term strategy. It gave him a win in 2016, but he jeopardized the future of conservatism by alienating the minority vote that will be extremely important down the road. He gave liberals a ton of material.
Texas GOP did an amazing job in reaching Hispanics by making conservative issues seem like "Hispanic" issues in 2022.

People are finally coming around to the fact that the DNC profits off misery. The GOP, for better or worse, at least pushes an agenda that relies on prosperity.
