We’re all of you drinking in the mornings and shite? What makes you finally say you need to go to this?

I drink almost every night but I don’t crave it in the mornings ever. Also don’t drink to get wasted on weekdays

Didn't matter what time it was. Last 6 months to a year or so of my drinking I'd go on 4-5 day binges, sober up for 2 days or so and then do it all over again.

Binges = drink till you pass out, wake up and the first thing you do is drink some more whiskey

Yep. Sometimes alcoholics have become so accustomed to being drunk that they function better that way. Or at least that’s how they’ve learned to function and it doesn’t feel right otherwise. So a drink before work helps. Or a drink at work.

Health problems, interpersonal relationship problems, alcohol related legal problems, desire for self-improvement. Hopefully most people beat it before rock bottom type stuff.

nope... alcohol wasn't even my thing, really... prescription pills were, but in rehab, i was finally able to see how "successful" drinking played a role in my piss poor ability to make good decisions... so while i'm not a "problem drinker", i'm 110% an alcoholic/addict... i do both NA and AA, and while i'm not going to say it's saved my life, it does give me perspective and motivation to stay clean and sober
