someone that’s not really as good as people make him out to be

Turner is labeled a 3 Point Shooter and Rim Protector, and he is those things, but that's about all he is. He's got just as many flaws to his game as JV, they're just different at what they're good and bad at.

Turner is a bad rebounder for his position. You know how we all complain about how Jaxson doesn't rebound or box out? Jaxson's career TRB% is 13.1%, Turner's is 12.9%. He's as bad of a rebounder as Jaxson.

If we trade for him people would watch the 2nd chance points go up and be ready trade Turner for someone else. Maybe next time we should get someone that can protect the paint and rebound, like Steven Adams

You won't find a player that's actually better than JV in our price range, you'd just be giving up assets for a lateral or worse move. You guys think it's a better fit because all you are focused on are the holes he covers, not the holes he opens up.

The move to make is to aim lower and try to develop someone. Maybe our Eurostash Matkovic turns into something and you trade for a stop gap like Noel in the interim.

And he’s not even that good there, 35% for his career, with 2 good years inflating those stats, and hovers around 33% the rest of the time.

Compare that to someone you can get for a minimum like Meyers Leonard who shoots 40+ for his career, and has had seasons at 45%
