You have a fundamental misunderstanding about RvW and are so off base it's absurd.

Naw. You're trying to be clever to avoid calling it a right.

It's a popular meme among the emotional abortion crowd on here.

quote:

IT was not a "right", the ruling guaranteed the privacy of healthcare providers. It had nothing to do with women.

AND I QUOTE

quote:

This right of privacy, whether it be founded in the Fourteenth Amendment's concept of personal liberty and restrictions upon state action, as we feel it is, or, as the District Court determined, in the Ninth Amendment's reservation of rights to the people, is broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy.

quote:

The Court's decisions recognizing a right of privacy also acknowledge that some state regulation in areas protected by that right is appropriate

quote:

In view of all this, we do not agree that, by adopting one theory of life, Texas may override the rights of the pregnant woman that are at stake

Society is doing great. Let’s double down on it by modifying our views to match the culture.

Nope.

Look at all the data on these issues.

You're in the minority.

quote:

Abortion was taking it to the extreme. Gay marriage was taking it to the extreme. Yet somehow you think now we've hit a threshold of what is "too extreme?" You're an idiot.

An idiot who was right about this when you were celebrating this summer over Dobbs trying to argue it wouldn't affect the election.

SFP was right, once again.

quote:

People like you are why this country will fail.

This is your problem and the problem of the other emotional thinkers on this board. Just because I'm discussing issues related to the country doesn't mean I agree with all of them (or any of them, for that matter). I'm discussing how the nation feels, not how I feel.

Attacking people trying to have you see the truth is why people call y'all a cult.

The GOP had a chance to attack DEM-Leftist extremism in the social arena, but Dobbs prevented it.

Again, there's a reason Youngkin won...in 2021. He wouldn't have won if he was on the ballot last night.

All b/c of Dobbs.

I also dont get why any state had to pass a law less than 15 weeks. Get over your personal feelings .

Everyone that says this should definitely counsel women that miscarry. It's no big deal, get over your feelings.

It's a big deal because, well, it's a big deal.

But maybe I'd take the other side more seriously if they didn't fight for the rights of pigs, chickens, and death row inmates, too.

It WAS a federal issue for decades.

Hobbs itself made a ruling around it being a federal issue.

Your argument would fit in 1972 but not 2022

Roe vs Wade was incorrectly decided in 1972, even Ruth Bader Ginsberg knew it was flawed, and would eventually have to be revisited. The real answer to the original question is that people are ignorant of the Constitution.
