Agree there are better things to bitch about. And it's probably not targeting.
But it wasn't clean. There was contact. Looks like Daniels mostly deflected it with his forearms, so it doesn't look like there was forceable contact to the head/neck area. So, not targeting (even if it's what the tackler intended).

But no contact is allowed after the runner gives himself up by sliding. The tackler was 5+ yards away when Daniels starts his slide. He had plenty of time/space to pull up. He makes contact, so it's a personal foul. Just not targeting.

Not really upset by the call, but there was contact. In the still shot posted above there is at least forearm contact with Daniel’s forearm.

Sorry, that was hit, just not what the player intended. Had he did what he intended, Daniels would have been knocked out. It was not targeting but it was a personal foul. That would have been called on an LSU player.
