Seriously not hyperbole, this might be the worst post ever on this site. Aside from maybe the 60s the 80s were easily the greatest decade in the last hundred years to be a kid in America.

Just accept that you don't know what you don't know. The 70s was my teens and the 80s my twenties. Both were great decades to be a kid. In the age of internet, cellphones, and social media you can't possibly understand what friendships and life in general meant without those things. You missed out.

You wouldn’t have made it. No participation trophies, having to defend yourself in fist fights. You would have gotten many atomic wedgies and not touched a boob until college.
