re: Looks like BK is fixing my biggest complaints about recruiting under Miles and O

Seemed like Miles recruited star players and skill players very well but didn't necessarily fill needs. We always had elite recruits and recruiting ratings but in reality had glaring holes (QBs, LBs, OL, etc). We missed some big fish, but Les was always good to flip a few surprises on signing day. All the same can be said about O, minus the signing-day surprises.
Hope Kelly improves on that.

quote:who, Cam Robinson? Ed is the one who had both these guys recruited so basically what OP said is already wrong. Secondly, Miles always got top OL. La'El, Maea Teuhema, Brumfield, Pocic, etc. Louisiana doesn't produce many elite OL, but he only lost out on 3 4/5 star OL from 2010-2016. In the same year he missed Greg Robinson, he got the #1 OL in Louisiana that year (5 star La'El) and the 3rd best OL by LA rank in 3 star Trai Turner. Not only did Trai Turner leave and get drafted high as a redshirt SOPHOMORE, he became a 5 time pro bowler and started on a team that played in the super bowl. We lost Tillery to ND, but that was more because of Notre Dame as a school, and he became a DT almost immediately. The third was Cam who was signed, sealed, and delivered by a Bama bandwagon barber inside Louisiana.
You mean the ones that normally went to BAMA in previous years?

Your criticism of Les is misplaced. It should be directed at his stupid scheme on offense, not OL talent. We seldom lacked for talent on OL under Les.
For example, you would be hard pressed to find a better run of LTs than what we had under Les:
Whitworth
Ciron
Barksdale
Faulk
La'el
Hawkins
Malone

As 5 star QB Sayin picks Bama over lswho.
More like LSU picked the #2 QB for 2025 reclassified for 2024 over Sayin.
Good try though.

Two downvotes on the OP. One from miles and one from O. Sounds about right.
