capable of covering UGA receivers, including Green, whereas the LSU secondary could not.

UGA put up 38 points against LSU's defense. They have 3 against Florida.

Yeah, yeah, I know, let it go. It was last week. I am just bitter.

Florida's secondary is probably more experienced than our secondary at this point.

That's how a well coached team plays UGA

Oh, I agree, but they also seem to know proper technique.

LU???? If i recall, LU defeated Georgia in the Sugar Bowl in "Everybody's All American" and came nowhere near to putting up 38 points!

Good, you fixed it.

Absolutely nothing to do with skill....all coaching and scheme coverage. Talent level for LSU is comparable.

And while I am bitching, let me also say that I am irked that UF's blitzes actually get to Stafford, while ours ran into an invisible brick wall.

And another pick by UF leads to points.

If we had any semblance of a defense, we would have beaten UGA. But we don't.

A defense, my kingdom for a defense.

I'm not sure, you may be right on that point.

But considering the defense as a whole, Florida doesn't start not one single senior on that defense, and they are playing about 10000 times better than us. That worries me...a lot.

Let's see: a successful presidential campaign used the slogan: It's The Economy, Stupid.

I think what fits here is: It's The Coordinators, Stupid.

I'm not trying to rub it in your face, but this is not true.

Our starters in the secondary -

Haden (CB) - true sophomore
Jenkins (CB) - true freshman
Black (SS) - redshirt freshman
Wright (FS) - true sophomore

Rumor has it that Wright may be moving to OLB (he's big enough)next season to "make room" for Will Hill (FS). Hill plays a lot now at FS, but Meyer wants to get his best 11 defenders on the field at the same time and Wright is a bit slow to be playing FS.

florida wasn't doing that this time last year. in saying that meyer made the changes in the off season by getting rid of the "co-dc" and it has paid off. i have my doubts miles will do the same.

This is hilarious considering Florida lost 4 games last year including several in which their defense was EXPOSED.

Brandon Spikes is the man.

Lafell dominated Haden up and down the field, but ya'lls defensive line abused our o-line to the point that Lee was throwing it into coverage.

Funny, how they couldn't cover last year when they were playing with young and inexperienced DBs.

What do you think changed?

florida is extremely young on D this year, but overall, their secondary has probably played more meaningful minutes than our secondary, which is not to say experience is the only issue. their young D-line also looks a lot better than ours, which is not suffering from inexperience.
