Couldn't change the brakes on my wife's volvo.
Auto Tech in Mandeville was by far the cheapest and the owner, George was very good about communicating. I hate going to mechanics, but this guy was great.

If it's not charging all you probably need is a new set of brushes in the alternator. Denso brush from toyota is around $20. You will probably have a more reliable alternator with the oem alternator and new brush over a rebuilt one. If you have bearing going bad or 250K plus miles I would use a Denso rebuilt alternator.

What's the general attitude about Brannigan's in Madisonville? I've brought my truck there a few times. I don't think they're cheap, but they don't seem ridiculous. Have always given good service.
