Bax seems intent on TCU and is probably a better fit there in that 3-3-5 they run
I can understand if the coaches evaluated his available senior film, decided they didn't think he projects to LSU/SEC level, and declined to push for him. But I don't understand why he would be a fit in TCU's 3-3-5 but not a fit for us.
The 3-3-5 is designed to counter the spread and compensate for fewer available traditional-sized DL by offering scheme flexibility to mix/disguise things and to create confusion for the QB and the OL. Speed is paramount for an LB in a 3-3-5, as is versatility. They are asked to be stout against the run but be able to blitz and cover, too. Seems to me if Bax fits a 3-3-5 in a Power 5 conference, he would fit our D, too.
