So, we’re getting down by 2 TD’s in the first half by hiding our best player so that we can prove a point and redeem ourselves in The second half? Dumb strategy.

No you dolt. The strategy is to give one look in the first half and attack your opponent's weakness in the second half. Go back and watch all the games and compare first half defense stats vs second half defense stats.

It's obvious to anyone with any insight that we are winning the 3rd and 4th quarters against our opponents.
nobody disagrees with what is taking place, I just don't think that's the reasoning why they are doing it.

No saying coach is going to let you get down by two touchdowns on purpose without playing your best player.

Just listen to what Kelly says, they have obviously been under the impression that the defense can be more productive early in games without perkins. They quickly realized that is incorrect

Let see what they do with Perkins after the bye week. This is traditionally where more freshmen start taking on bigger roles after some additional coaching during the break week. Maybe this will give the staff the opportunity to get him more comfortable with what’s required for him to have an expanded role as an LB.

The House hire was pivotal.
By all accounts he was an above average DC at Kentucky with his personnel at the time.
The NFL experience just developed him to another level. (Ooof)
Hope we can keep him around for a while.

So the strategy is to hide your playmaker for first halves and unleash in 2nd half?

Remind me again whether our first quarter strategies are working.

I’m enjoying the ride and trust the coaches, but you can’t continue to get into double-digit deficits every game.
Fair enough. Legit points.

Sort of like they should have learned that Daniels wasn’t the answer at QB, right? It’s amazing how many posters on here are convinced they know better than coaches with proven track records of success.

I'm sorry, I don't remember ever saying anything about Daniels not being the best option. It was pretty clear when Nuss came in, that he wasn't a better option. We have ample evidence that Perkins is better than any other option they have on the defensive side.

So instead of being lazy and lumping me in with the rest of the people that you use as a crutch to feel superior in intellect, perhaps you'll decide to use some basic logic when assessing the situation I'm discussing. Coaches are not above reproach in everything they do. I only criticize this one aspect. I don't claim to know everything better than they do. Some things are just obvious.
