Imagine everything is going great in life, you're sitting on the couch relaxing watching tv and in an instant it feels like you can't breath and you're having a heart attack. It's real and terrifying for some people.
Dude, I’ve felt that, and sometimes in situations that warranted it. I’ve used meds and yoga and exercise and counseling to get through it. I could get back there tomorrow and check out, legitimately claiming anxiety, if I left those habits behind.

I had/have anxiety that was a physical issue before diagnosed as mental. I started getting dizzy spells and headaches each after. Nausea followed. I found that I couldn’t focus enough to even drive. I had tests run, was given a small dose of medication, and t problem has been solved.
Me trying to “have a glass of suck it up” is what caused the issue. I bottled things up until my body couldn’t physically handle it.
Since then, I’ve been hesitant to judge other people and their issues. There are some obvious situations where people claim anxiety, or can’t handle any obstacle in life due to laziness, but mental illness is real too.
We were tougher back then? Probably. Did life have less distraction then? Absolutely. The road goes both ways.
