I'd like to see the admins repost the results from the pre-season survey that asked us to predict the Tigers' record. If a majority of us predicted 2 or 3 losses, then the board expected this and why the pseudo melt-down? I just don't get it. We all said we needed excellent play from the QB and the secondary to have a shot...well we are coming up just fair in both regards. Hince, 2 losses against good teams and no losses against lesser opponents.

its not the losing to uf and uga. its the fact we got waxed in both games and teams are having field days on our d.

I think its the fact that we gave up 50+ in two games

Actually, the defense gave up 30-33 in each game. The offense contributed 14-17 in turnovers. The 30-33 points is not really acceptable, but given the immaturity of the secondary, it could be expected. My concern is that the coaching isn't evident in the defense. We should at least be taking baby steps towards improvement, not fluctuating wildly week to week.

the season's not over yet...more losses could be forthcoming.

but generally I agree with you. Everybody knew that we virtually assured two losses this year, with a strong potential for 3 or maybe more. I predicted two to three myself, any more than that is unacceptable for this team IMO.

I still think this team has the talent to beat Bama and the remaining teams on the schedule. I will be disappointed to see this team lose another game. However, the two losses to FL and GA are understandable, minus the fact that we allowed over 50 in each. That is most probably what's causing a little panic and unrest among many.

We need to keep Lee as the primary QB for the rest of the year. None of that pulling him out and playing Hatch for entire drives like we did late in the 3rd, screwing our offense out of precious possessions b/c Hatch can't move this offense like Lee can, even though Lee has a tendency (and that's being nice) to make throws he shouldn't. I'd rather the potential to make plays and put a defense on its heels, with the risk of turnovers, than just forfeiting our possession and playing field position and ball security.

If we had lost 24-21 or 20-17, the I don't believe many people would be complaining.

The only thing would be saying we'll have a better offense next year due to QB maturity or a different QB.

However, we have a defense that is holding up like butter to a hot knife. That is very concerning. Especially since our dline and safeties are NOT young. I'm not saying we won't get better, but right now the co-coord situation is very troubling to say the least.

2 or 3 losses is one thing

getting 50 dropped on you is another thing.

getting 50 dropped on you twice is something quite different.

why is that so hard to understand?

Dude, there would be people complaining even if we were unbeaten! So, do not take anything you read here seriously.

Psst...it's "discord", and I'd like to see the admin's strike threads call out others if they have a misspelled word.

That's good thinking. However, you didn't point out that poster also misspelled the word "hence" in the original post. And, I'd like to see posters asking for admin oversight to use proper grammar.

It's not the two losses it's the way we lost and the doubt that is starting to grow about the foundation of the program. Once Mississippi State and Auburn moved the ball on our defense, and then their anemic offense was exposed by other average teams, it became obvious that we have problems on defense. We had confidence that our program was equal to Florida and Georgia, now we aren't sure.

LSU's Defense is below average with above average talent.

If the problem is Coaching, then, we have a problem, because, Coach Miles doesn't think that the problem is Coaching.

My own amateur opinion is that the LSU Defense is poorly coached.
