It’s harder to look fast at QB when compared to other positions because the QB doesn’t have the advantage of catching the ball in stride or having angles on players like a defender. But his speed still manages to flash in every game. I think he is one of the faster players on the field every game. Definitely runs sub 4.5, maybe sub 4.4

I think he is sub 4.4

He blew up angles from fast defenders several times Saturday. Fastest guy on the field probably.

He is a great and smooth runner. Multiple times on Saturday I thought UF players had an easy angle on him. Nope. He has great vision and patience when running too.

I wish sport science would do a piece on him. When he turned that corner for his third TD run, just wow.

Not sure how fast he is, but he is way faster than Brenton Cox thought he was.

Smooth is right, he reminds me of Odell Beckham in that sense, it’s effortless and guys take bad angles not expecting a guy to move like that.

the broadcast mentioned that with the technology vests that they wear for certain practices gathering data that Daniels reached a top end of 21mph.

Which is insane considering I think only like 5 NFL players eclipsed the 22 mph last season.

He isn’t fast. He is sudden.

He can turn out the lights and be in bed before it is dark.

Why does 21mph ring a bell? I think someone on TV said he was clocked running that fast.

Fast and knows HOW to run. Lots of fast players who run into blockers and tackles. Daniels has elite vision of the field.

At the risk of touching yet another outburst from the RABID Daniels supporters — I’m gonna ask because I honestly want to understand this.

If he’s so fast and he’s obviously a great runner and a gifted athlete …. Then ….. how in the HELL did he end up the QBs line in practice?

Go over there with WR’s young man. Go over there with the DBs. Put on some weight and be a RB maybe?

Because a ton of high schools put their best athlete at QB. I bet more college skill players played QB than any other position.

Absolutely true, the run where he started up the middle and cut it right was a thing of beauty. Kelly thinks highly of him. He will play in the NFL in some capacity

it's not a bad question - he has some elite speed that could be used at multiple positions with more guaranteed draft money. Let's say he's 4.3 or better - i think that translates more easily into the NFL at wide receiver, DB etc instead of QB.

That said if he can replicate his performance against UF with any regularity it will have been the right call.

He could play those positions well I’m sure. But he is also our best QB, so let’s play him at the most important position.

He’s probably our fastest RB…and in the 4.4 range. If he has a future in the NFL, I’d say it’s as a WR not QB.

This TD run is spectacular. His acceleration rounding a corner is insane. Gif is long, it shows a couple of angles.
