Love your report of stats and dedication. Thank you! Does it look like nippolt will be okay? We need him. Infield is not deep at all

Nippolt did not put much weight on his leg as he was helped from the field. I did not see him during the rest of inning. I'll try to check on his status later this week.

Does Guidry look like defensively he's ready to take over for Thompson at ss?

Guidry hasn't done anything, so far that makes me think he will not be an adequate SS. He's only been here for 7 scrimmages without the pressure of a real game situation. It's too early to speculate about his replacing Thompson, IMO.

Thanks Scuba! I was doing inning recaps for another site today.

The Crews HR was an absolute bomb off the top of batters eye in center. 453 feet

Difficult to say how bad Nippolt was injured. He fouled a ball off his lower body and went down in the box. Definitely walked off gingerly after laying on ground for couple minutes. Other than a possible twisting of a knee I wouldnt think it was anything too bad. Hopefully just pain from ball hitting him in bad spot.

Beloso also went down in box on HBP, but he got up quicker and looked ok.

Hurd looked good again in his brief inning.

Ackenhausen pitched well again, but did give up a run in his first inning.

Edwards pitched well his first two innings and then got shelled starting with Crews bomb.

If anybody has questions ask away.

Was this the final scrimmage of the fall or will they be back out there next week as well?
Also, has Morgan played anywhere other than first and if so, how has he looked?

I believe there will be many more scrimmages, including P&G World series and a scrimmage vs McNeese I believe.

Morgan has mostly been at 1st, but if I recall he may have played a bit in OF. Really can't remember.

I always post my summaries on "The Rant", never on the Saturday Scoreboard. Saturday's scrimmages are posted Sunday morning.

Just went back through summaries to see just how good Zeb Ruddell has been so far.

He's hitting .571 (8-14) with 3 HR's, a double, 6 RBI, 4 BB's and only 2 K's so far. Both K's were in the first game.

This 4 game weekend alone he was 5-6 with his 3 bombs.

For comparison...

Skenes has hit .357 (5-14) with 3 HR's.

Crews has hit .277 (5-18) with 3 HR's

Morgan has hit .368 (7-19) with 3 HR's.

Pearson has hit .167 (3-18) with 2 HR's

Neal has hit .263 (5-19) with 2 HR's

Kling has hit .277 (5-18) 1 HR
