It ended because Tulane insisted it remain home and home, causing LSU to lose a home game when at Tulane and losing all that revenue. Made perfect sense and still does. LSU would never play at another American conference school. LSU was willing to play every year in BR. This series ended not because of LSU but because Tulane let it’s pride get in the way. As someone that kinda pulls for them or would like them to do well, I believe this was a huge mistake on their part. They had everything to gain and nothing to lose by going to BR every year. Florida State did it for a long time while building their program back in the 80’s.

Guess where Alabama is playing a true road game next year? At USF. An AAC school.
And tulane has offered in past to even have their home game be in the dome and split gate. But LSU won’t agree to it
One sided rivalries mean something. Ask Tennessee fans who went 15+ years without beating Alabama if it didn’t mean something to win. And Alabama fans if it didn’t sting just as bad to lose

Texas A&M did this for 20 years.. Ole Miss did it for a good while too before the 1960s.

Why not home and Dome? I get not wanting to play in their little stadium but alternate BR and superdome.
