Because Liverpool hadn't had their girls trip to the restroom with the official yet.

Let me call Anthony Taylor and ask.

It was questionable in real time but goes with the instruction they’ve received to allow play and let VAR review. It was obvious on review.

If you agree it was obvious on review, then the system is working as it should.

Good match. Tough decision. Regroup and win next time out.

Every play can be dissected like this and will continue to be. This is not in the spirit of the game or the intention of how the technology is to work.

This is like being fine with review in baseball and how they call base runners out for popping off of the bag for a split second and it only being conclusive in slo mo.

Really don’t get why City fans are up in arms. Absolutely awful refereeing for sure, but y’all will win the league by double digits. Last laugh will be City’s for sure. Who cares?

On the play where Haaland got called for a foul, it should have been a corner kick anyways and they gave a goal kick.

Lol. And that is the difference in the game? City will twat all of us by double digit points and Haaland is going to set an all time first division record.

Seems weird to get up in arms about this one.

I was saying that Haaland shouldn’t have even had the opportunity because Salah’s shot was saved right before that. I feel like both fans thought the ref was terrible. As a neutral, I didn’t have an issue one way or the other.

I got this impression. Both sets of fans have gripes, and with a game like this that sits on a knife edge, any of these calls may have fricked it for either side.
