The consensus before today was that all Daniels needed was more experience and that he'd get better.

Where was that a consensus?

Why doesn't Nuss get the same benefit of the doubt? Past experience doesn't necessarily equal future outcome.

He looks worse than Daniels this year. Playing him just to get experience is telling the rest of the team season is over.

Daniel's is a 4 year starter and still has not learned to throw the darn ball. That should tell you he is not just going to magically start getting better.

Kelly doesn’t know what the frick he’s doing on offense. What a disaster

What you should do is bring in Nuss and let him prove he is not better. If you prove that then let JD throw the next season and a half and end up with a .500 team for 2 years.

They’re specifically pointing out that it does not make sense to insert this type of QB with neither our personnel on the outside nor our offensive scheme.
You know what type of QB would shred defenses with this talent on the outside?

It's a shame that before the season our coaches felt it necessary to tell Myles that he wouldn't be able to play over Jayden.

It’s almost like they don’t realize the beast they have on the outside…or never had WRs like this and have no clue how to change and get them the ball. That’s why you see so many TE sets and damn near forcing the ball to Taylo
Yep then you watch the Rams and they target Cooper Kupp 23 times.

You have to scheme your guys open. With that said - QB has to let go of the ball.

Nuss has too small of a sample to definitively say he's worst. Also, if Nuss is currently worse, who has the higher ceiling?

JD is in his 4th yr starting and is a finished product. He's shown no improvement since game 1. Nuss may have more upside and actually improve at a faster rate with more reps. More reps doesn't mean he starts or plays an entire game, it just mean he plays in games more than he currently is doing. This season is over if we wanted to play for anything truly meaningful.

If they stick with JD solely, not only will the offense continue to struggle this year but we'll also be starting over next year by going with a guy with little to real experience. Or stick with JD who will have showed you for an entire season that he can't move this offense with consistency. BK will be similar to Miles by stubbornly playing JD and fans won't be kind. Did you notice the look on fans faces and how they walked out in droves?

Because Nuss is worse. We’ve seen him

Please go back and watch spring game tape and tell me how JD has improved with all the reps since?

Nuss has the higher ceiling and will actually be the guy to challenge Howard. This season is toast, so why not get the future talent some reps.

Trying to keep Nuss out the portal should be the point going forward. JD is a backup level talent… maybe

We don’t have a winning qb this year. It is what it is. Complaining about not playing Nuss when he’s likely not ever going to be the guy over Howard is just sky screaming.
Why not find out though? If you can't score and your losing games then at least find out what you have in Nuss.

I get not sending young Walker out there but Nuss is going to tranfer, just see what you have before it leaves.

The only other reason to keep rolling with Jayden is if he's your future. If the plan is to start Jayden next year then you ride with him, which is what it looks like to me.

Lol yeah I bet our WRs will hang up the cleats if we bring in Nuss. They'll all be so broken up not to block as much anymore

It was funny listening to the announcers yest dance around the fact he doesn’t need to have to “think” just react.

They said it every way imaginable.

I was at the Auburn game. When Nuss came in he was Scared to Death. Anybody else here see the clip of Kelly yelling at him, "GROW THE F UP", when he came off of the Field. If anything bite the bullet and throw Howard out there and take your lumps. Daniels has limitations for sure. I think its more of the Kelly and Denbrock not being willing to adjust to what he does really well than anything else.

Throwing up 2 picks vs Southern after JD carved them up, and failing to move the ball vs Aub even with the drops.

Get outta here with that shite.

Southern was bad. No one disputes that, but he looked fine v. New Mexico and Auburn.

Kinda tough to move the ball when half of your spot-on accurate passes are dropped and a RB fumbles.

That was. When the color commentator was struggling to say what we all wanted to say

"Jesus Christ just run tempo and give him 2 quick options, if he thinks he fails"

That's retarded. Worst thing we can do is set back Walker mentally. He doesn't play unless the game is in hand.

Nuss was shook by the game- which is exactly why you get him fricking experience. See what you have before he transfers. You know what Jayden is.

If you think Nuss looked fine against Auburn then I know that you surely were not at the Game and more than liekly did not even watch the game. He played nearly the whole 4th quarter and was 2/6 for 5 yds not to mention being scared to death!!

Couldn't get worse than JD. Give the team a chance. Nuss could be terrible or maybe he could have caught lightning in a bottle for one night. There are others out there who would like at least a small chance to win. Daniels isn't any better the Nuss from what I have seen. Nuss can beat bad teams and lose to good teams just as well. This isn't working.

Actually, I thought the defense played worse.
