I’m seeing mature boxwoods turn yellow all over the area. What’s with this? Too much rain last month?

Too much rain then not enough rain

Boxwoods have to be the most unremarkable shrub.

I’ve learned that boxwoods dying is kind of just what they do. It’s also damn near impossible to replace the ones that die with one that matches the rest of a hedge. I had them at my last house. Will never plant them again. Too many alternatives.
Also agree that they are totally unremarkable.

We just removed all of our boxwoods over the last two weekends.
We were seeing a lot of dieback or root rot and the amount of wasp they were holding has been crazy. My wife has been stung many times over the last two years while working on the bushes.
We pulled 28 wasp nest out of the bushes. The poor wife was wearing a damn bee suit almost the entire time we were working on them.
