Greg McElroy says National Media is holding a grudge against Kelly (& predicts LSU win)

Where is the hype meter for LSU if they upset Tennessee?
Says he doesn’t believe Tennessee has been tested… he thinks Pitt and Florida are meh. Picks LSU in a close one based on their defense and the way they’ve looked in the first five games.
Also says around 6:50 that a win might propel LSU into the top 15, but that AP voters and media have a grudge against Kelly… According to McElroy there are “demons being exorcised and grudges being held” against BK.

he said he also noticed the lack of national reaction to our solid win vs Miss St too, interesting.

I don’t think he’s wrong and he usually is.

The AP writers have LSU in the top 25 and the coaches don't. #25 is an acceptable place for LSU based on their 4-1 start. I don't see a grudge based on how the AP has voted LSU through 5 weeks.

And MSU is ranked ahead of LSU

Has more to do with them beating #17 Texas A&M. Doesn't matter that A&M sucks. The voters just care about the ranking. Mississippi State was unranked when LSU beat them.

They have a team LSU beat definitively ranked ahead of them.

Kelly insulted the blue bloods when he walked on its holiness Notre Dame
Keep winning, their loyalty is to themselves in the end and the one thing they hate more than BK is being wrong

Put the rush on Hooker and it's a win! Dline and LB's will be the key!

Mississippi State beat #17. If LSU beats #8 Tennessee they will be ranked ahead of Mississippi State next week. Stuff like this happens every season. It's not a bias against LSU.

I think McElroy is pretty solid. I like him in the booth.

Regardless of if it’s bias, McElroy didn’t site the rankings. He sited lack of coverage for LSU, which is interesting coming from a generally level-headed analyst/talking head.

Doesn't matter. The voters saw them beat #17.

Welp there it is. This confirms the rant’s conspiracy theories.

Right. That #17 ranking was complete horseshite. In addition to the App St loss, aTm squeaked by an awful Miami, and was handed the game against Arky. And oh yeah, Arky doesn't look so great, either. Whatever. Just kick Tennessee's frickin' arse & the rest will take care of itself.

Coming from McElroy, it’s kind of bizarre. He might have some first hand experiences dealing with Kelly hate from his colleagues.

If LSU beats #8 Tennessee and they are not ranked ahead of Mississippi State next week, will you acknowledge a bias?

They will be so there's no point in even bringing it up
