LSU has never faced an opponent all season that runs fast tempo like Tennessee.

I think it’s something that maybe some have forgotten here about Tennessee.

I’m sure they are preparing for that, but should be interesting to see how the defense reacts.

Ole Miss also does this as well.

Kelly said that it’ll be more about 1 on 1 matchups and not so much motions and formations. If that’s the case, I like our chances

They probably are only going to run 20 plays with some wrinkles and options in them.

Tempo is brutally difficult to stop once it gets rolling. The key is to prevent big plays and get them behind the sticks on 1st down. Easier said than done.

But yeah, this UT offense is pretty damn tough to stop. If LSU holds them to less than 30 points, it'll be an exceptional performance.

Tenn has never faced a defense as physical as LSU’s.

We're 5 games in. "Never" is a bit dramatic.

Conditioning should be a positive for us. This team has been strong in the 4th qtr we should be able to keep up.

That’s a fair point. I do think the defense will take a quarter to adjust to that speed of the play calls though. I could see Tennessee jumping off to like a 10-3 lead after the first quarter.

However, I think in the 2nd half LSU wears down Tennessee like they have every opponent this season and win 30-27.

Win the trenches on both sides and you want have to worry about tempo…

Holding them to FGs will be vital.

The fans in attendance can't wait for third down to get loud. It's just got be a continual roar that reaches it's apex on 3rd downs
