Same with pistol conversion kits. I have used conversion kits on my Glock 19s for close to 20 years - those MiniMags may be dirty (like any .22LR), but a couple of 9mm mags apparently get rid of it pretty well.

Never had to do any sort of special cleaning. I have one G19 that I use to train new shooters. It has roughly 1000 rounds of .22LR and about another 1000 rounds of 9mm through it since the last time I cleaned it.
