Seems that their efforts to quote "improve the weather" of only exacerbated their inadequate energy Supply. Energy austerity leading to economic austerity. The ideologues will never admit that they are wrong about anything. They will literally be people unable to pay their utility bills and will face some dire consequences.

Germany was a prominent player in both world wars, not surprising that they've been the global leaders of everything super liberal. no doubt that German engineering and innovation is world class but they're a landlocked country with very few natural resources.

This is not the 18th and 19th century where coal can power everything. You need a combination of natural gases, oil, nuclear and coal. "renewables" can't sustain a whole countries' grid and industrial base.
