You can, of course, point to things that the GOP has failed on, but elections provide a choice, not a fantasy. Obamacare would not exist if the GOP had been in control. The GOP may spend far too much but we KNOW from recent legislation and (thankfully) failed attempts at litigation that Democrats would spend even more. The border may not have been secure under GOP rule but it was nothing like the free for all crisis we have now under Biden. Choosing the best available option does not make you “complicit.” It makes you a grownup.

Maybe. Maybe it makes you a grownup that accepts getting stabbed in the back on a regular basis. A grownup that accepts the fact that there are two different justice systems, and that you actually do not have the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, if the government says no. A grownup who prefers peaceful slavery over dangerous freedom. A grownup that would rather force their children to bleed, fight and die for freedom and liberty if they are ever to have either. If that’s what makes one a grownup, I’m glad to say I no longer am one.

Do we know this?

I don't think that we do

The fiscal cost of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars has been tremendous. Medicare part D was part of Bush doctrine. The bailouts and stimulus packages of the Obama years were essentially a rubber stamp on Bush era policies

Trump wasn't exactly a frugal spender during his time and he passed massive COVID relief legislation. Part of the reason the economy was doing so well under Trump was a lot of the deficit spending was juicing the economy. Conservatives don't want to hear that or admit it, but it's the truth.

If anything Biden is spending in a way similar to what you would expect from Trump. He's a dunce in other ways but not much has changed from a spending perspective.
