I agree, and especially don't get how murder charges are on the table. Unless there is some weird shite going down on his phone where he's like "I can't wait to shoot this chick tomorrow on set and kill her," I have no idea how murder is even remotely in play.
I think Baldwin is a douche as much as everyone else does, but fricking murder just seems downright implausible (at this point).

Depends on how the state defines murder. New Mexico:

Universal Citation: NM Stat § 30-2-1 (2019)
A. Murder in the first degree is the killing of one human being by another without lawful justification or excuse, by any of the means with which death may be caused:
(1) by any kind of willful, deliberate and premeditated killing;
(2) in the commission of or attempt to commit any felony; or
(3) by any act greatly dangerous to the lives of others, indicating a depraved mind regardless of human life.

That would be first-degree murder.
There are obviously different classes of murder.
This case is negligent murder where Baldwin's negligence led to someone dying.
