The difference between Jameson and Olave is Jameson has that top 3-4 speed in the nfl, plus agility, and he is long. Jameson has the ability to be an all time great if he has a decent QB and he stays healthy. He reminds me of a mix between Desean Jackson and Tyreek Hill. He’s going to be an animal paired with Amon Ra ST Brown.
In terms of missing the point, yards are just one thing. You have to consider how yards are accumulated. Great receivers get yards all throughout the game, not just garbage time against softer defenses.
It’s pretty easy to watch Olave and see that he isn’t a top 10 or even top 25 wr right now in the league, despite him being 7th in yards.
As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, he’s not even getting gameplanned for or getting the toughest coverage assignment yet. He’s getting secondary coverage assignments and he’s racking up yards when we are down 2 tds. I’m glad he looked better this week, but the brakes should be pumped. He’s going to have to do a lot more to A) justify his draft slot and B) justify the capital that was spent to move up to his draft slot.

Olave ran 4.39 with a 1.5 10yd split. That is elite speed bubba. Jameson was high 4.4s at his sophomore year pro day at Alabama. And Williams wingspan and arm length are 42% and 54% historically at the combine
You are just throwing some wild shite out there and passing it off as facts

Jameson has game speed and I don’t care what he ran as a soph. I care about what he was running on the field as a Jr.
Maybe I should’ve specified. He’s longer than Olave.
Jameson is over an inch taller, each arm is an inch longer, and his wing span is 2.5 inches longer than Olave.
He is significantly longer than Olave.
Olave has a 14% wingspan and a 26% arm length.
Not to mention, a 12% vertical leap.
Olave has 86% percent 40 time, which is in line with my he is faster than 85-90% wr’s comment.
So my eye test is pretty spot on. I had t even looked at any of these numbers prior to today. I am just going off of pure film. Thanks for bringing up Jameson’s percentages. It Inspired me to look up Olave’s and it proved my overall point about him even more.

Yet you and others felt compelled to call a Brandin Cooks comp, he tested off the charts nearly across the board at 5’9”!!

I have no idea what you are saying at this point. Are you even going to address you shitting on Jameson’s wingspan and arm length while Olave’s same measurements are far worse? That’s a horrible look.
Also, you are quoting some 4.4 nonsense from soph Jr camp literally almost 3 years ago.
How about Alabama’s strength and conditioning coach clocking Jameson at 23 mph in a practice less than a year ago?
I mean only 2 players in the nfl have clocked over 23 in 5 years. MOSTERT and Tyreek.
Or hell, just watch a game and see that no SEC athlete even belonged on the field with Jameson. Jameson reportedly ran a 4.4, 7 months ago, just a few months removed from an ACL injury. He has 99.9999% speed and agility. Comparing Olave’s speed or even body to Jameson’s is absurd.
Olave has an incredibly small and weak frame. Dude didn’t even try to rep 225 at the combine.
My Brandin Cooks comp/conversation is based off playstyle and I have said numerous times Cooks is a shite ton faster than Olave. Hence, my reasoning that a Cooks comp might even be aggressive. Cooks also had nice strength and vertical. So you are making my original point more and more for me. Similar to Cooks, but not as much physical upside as Cooks.
His route to being better than Cooks is literally being a better person, better route runner and having a better relationship with his QB. But he still might not approach Cooks, bc he is not half the overall athlete Cooks is and he doesn’t have the size to make up for it.
Appreciate it.

You look like a fool, I didn’t say shite about Olave’s length. I just know Williams isn’t long. You even quoted his 50% measurements. Sheesh
Idgaf about your arbitrary analysis. You were arguing last year about how good Taysom was at QB. At this point ya opinion holds no weight, and you must refer to the hard numbers if ya gonna give an eval
PS Williams is a stud. You’re working yourself in circles now just making up shite bc you’re wrong

A cooks comp might be aggresive?
I do agree that jameson is way faster and can take it to the house like tyreek on any play.
That is who i wanted the saints to draft.

Jameson williams does not run in the 4.4s anymore. I can assure you that.

I said olave would do good to gain some weight because some cb1 will be able to limit him at that size. Certain cb1s if they get their hands on him.
Olave is not jameson williams when it comes to taking it to the house from any point on the field.
And that is fine. Olave is a fine player. They both have different strengths.
Williams will also get taken out by some elite corners at that size.
Williams ran 23 mph against miami last yr. I don't think anyone in the nfl topped out at 23mph last yr.
What does that have to do with olave's size?

Well no, you cannot assure anything chuckie. What you mean to say is,”I think he’d run faster than 4.4 now”
Will have to put this one to bed now. I have multiple threads with receipts. We will revisit one way or another

Hope he keeps it up. Can trade him to get a first rounder next year to get a qb
Posted on 9/27/22 at 6:22 pm to GynoSandberg
He ran 23 mph in college last year.
Do you really believe he doesn't run in the 4.3's
No one in college football could cover him because of his long speed.
I don't care about your receipts
I said i would've drafted jameson williams and i stand by that.
I also like olave as a player and have never shite on him.

When I say secondary receiver, I am talking about the coverage dedicated to them.
You do realize that Landry and Thomas went out of the game and Olave was out there with Callaway and TEs. They had two healthy WRs at the end of the game.

Henderson was on olave most of the game.
He was drafted top 10 by jacksonville but hasn't lived up to his billing.

I never questioned his speed, I’m just telling you what his last recorded time was. The guys who hit top MPH always have track speed, it doesn’t necessarily correlate to 40 yards
And you’re chalky duckin white 84 bru, you cannot assuredly tell us what Jameson ran. Get real bubba

My Jameson is long comment was by comparison to Olave. This whole thread is essentially about Olave, not all receivers.
He is extremely long compared to Olave. I wasn’t comparing him to Megatron or Michael Thomas.
Bruh, I literally called that starting Siemen would be the end of our season before he even started a game and he ended up going 0-4 lol.
Taysom has deficiencies, but he was like 4-1 for us last season and the 1 game he lost he played with a broken throwing finger and Marcus Williams decided to hand hold Pollard for a 60 yard TD run.
If you want to discredit me, I’m not sure referring to my Taysom takes are the best way to do that. There is probably better ammo you can find than that.
The only thing I’m really saying on Olave is pump the breaks and that it’s ludicrous to compare him to certain players. And maybe I have a semi hard on for Jameson bc his talent literally jumps off of the screen. When we traded up for 12, I really thought he was going to be the selection. So the Olave and Jameson comparisons are just going to naturally come throughout these 2 players career’s.
