I’ve yet to meet an adoptive parent that praised the process here. Babies aren’t as available as you think, and it’s wildly difficult and expensive.
Don’t confuse “giving up for adoption” with “piece of shite has kids taken away and placed into foster system.” The latter should never have left the hospital with their birth mother.
