I saw Sam Darnold against Texas at the coliseum and it didn’t seem he saw the field well or the game was too fast for him.

An overmatched Texas team took them to OT and almost won thanks to some boneheaded INTs by Darnold.

We were coached by clueless Clay Helton, so despite some real talent, he had no idea how to deploy it. Darnold led a drive down the field with less than 2m remaining for a tying FG, and in 2OT the D forced a fumble with the Horns on SC’s doorstep to set up a game winning FG. He was a really good CF QB, but that doesn’t always translate to “good NFL QB”
