Carson Palmer is the first one I think of

Damn forgot about Palmer.

They aren't garbage, they just aren't among the 20 best QBs in the world.
It's still pretty impressive to pump out as many good QBs as they have.

Carson Palmer obviously had a solid career
Mark Sanchez and Matt Cassell each had one good season.
That’s more success right there than a lot of schools IMO

Rodney Pete was alright, made All-Pro and lasted 15 years in the League.

Most QBs don't succeed in the NFL, so it would follow that if a school sends more QBs to the NFL, a large number of them don't perform well.

Matt Cassell had some solid years too.
To OP...what school is pumping out great QBs on a consistent basis?

Most big schools have overrated QBs cause they are surrounded by better talent at the college level. I think that’s a large reason why mid tier school QBs tend to do better. They have to be better and make decisions quicker.

Last 20 years:
2003: Carson Palmer (Rd. 1/Pk.1)
2005: Matt Cassell (7/230)
2006: Matt Leinart (1/10)
2008: John David Booty (5/137)
2009: Mark Sanchez (1/5)
2013: Matt Barkley (4/98)
2016: Cody Kessler (3/93)
2018: Sam Darnold (1/3)
Any QBs picked outside of the first round are a roll of the dice. Teams are looking for a backup QB that might develop into a starter.

All qbs are a roll of the dice. Hit rate on first round qbs is almost exactly 50/50

I saw Sam Darnold against Texas at the coliseum and it didn’t seem he saw the field well or the game was too fast for him.
An overmatched Texas team took them to OT and almost won thanks to some boneheaded INTs by Darnold.

But between Namath then Stabler and those guys Alabama has not been consistently putting out good NFL QBs.

Okay. Purdue spits out a quality QB almost about once a decade.
