Drew Brees is a loser

Says a guy on a message board. One stupid year where he was in a no win situation influences how some people will forever view him. I'm sorry, not sorry, but he did way more good than any of his mistakes. And he continues to try and give back and people like you rather stay bitter. Consider maturing as a person, because the hate for Brees is pathetic at this point.

Drew Brees backed down like a coward to a bunch of low-IQ 23 year olds as a grown man and cried like a little bitch

And somehow grown men on a message board can't get over it. He either loses his teammates or quits. Would have been cool if he stood up to the pressure, but then he probably would have had to just walk away. His teammates were trashing him and he probably should have just walked away. 2020 was a joke.

I just think it's a shame anytime Brees is mentioned there will always be people who hate on him and never care to forgive or at least understand what he was going through at the time. It's cool to hate on Brees now, so keep it up. I rather see his intentions were always good. I still appreciate the professionalism he carried as a player, as well as all he has given back to the community.

So why not just walk away? He already is one of the best QBs to ever play, won a Super Bowl, made enough money to last 10 lifetimes. Not to mention he was old and his skills were diminishing. The last few years of his career all he could throw was dump passes to kamara. I agree it was a joke. And it sucks for him. But it’s hard to respect a man who turns his back on his beliefs and cave into something you know isn’t right.

Is it? Not sure that's the case

At any rate he had the biggest test of his life, way bigger than sports. And he crumbled to pressure and didn't stand up for his principles. Instead, he went through the re-programming process orchestrated by the biggest group of self unaware idiots in modern history.

That said I did get his post Super Bowl book as a Christmas gift one year and couldn't make it through maybe 30 pages of his platitudes and cheesy sports phrases. So I don't think there is a whole lot going on up there between the ears anyway.

It should not define him, but it certainly should influence our opinion of him.

Drew Brees was a great athlete whose competitive exploits brought a lot of great entertainment, and a Super Bowl Championship, to Louisiana football fans.

When presented with a character-defining moment he failed to rise to the situation, so he will never be more than what’s in the paragraph above.

You are correct, and the bozos on here that make stupid derogatory comments about him, tells us more about them and the low life they are than anything about Drew Brees.
