I am supposed to travel to Australia next month for work. I have looked on auvisa.org and there is a note saying non Australian residents are not allowed to travel to Australia. Does anyone here have any knowledge on where I can obtain a visa or how long travel restrictions will be in place?

Yeah, they're very protective of their little island...for being descendants of criminals.

wouldn't your work arrange all the necessary documentation?
"the little island" is one of the greatest places on earth to live, so of course they are protective.

Relax...I wasn't bashing it.
It is beautiful, but there are WAY too many creatures there that can kill me, so I'm a visitor only.

This Australian government site says there are no restrictions anymore other than the requirement to get a visa.

Been almost 20 years, but all I remember was going to a website, paying $75 and having the local business sign a document stating why I was needed

This has been around pre Covid - needed one in 2019.
