Konnor has changed gyms.

Social Media Speculation
WAG
"Tiktok from Konnor saying she’ll be going to another gym soon. Going to LSU early"?

She also has “LSU Gym -> Soon” at the top of her Facebook profile. Still shocking she left WOGA/why did she need to leave WOGA To start at LSU in the fall

I hope Konnor takes her time and makes the right decision for herself, but if she comes next year + Kiya comes back, this team will be contending for the natty.

Imagine a Top 4 of Haleigh, Kiya, Aleah & Konnor.

That would be absolutely amazing!!! She’s so close to making an Olympic team though…I would be sad if she didn’t see it through.

I agree, I know she’s super excited for college but I would worry about regrets or what if it doesn’t live up to her expectations

Maybe she just doesn’t feel like her body can hold up to the elite training? She got injured right after winning Nationals and didn’t even get to go to Worlds. I’m pretty sure she had just come back from an injury when she won Nationals. Maybe she doesn’t see a way she can stay healthy through Nationals, Trials and the Olympics? I just want her to do what’s best for her. Like someone said, I don’t want her to have regrets. I also would be thrilled if she was at LSU next season. Could you imagine if Kiya came back? I have a feeling that would really motivate Kiya even more.

THe issue I would be concerned about is if Jay takes it slow with Konnor if she came a year early - we don't need that.

If she is healthy then maybe he could ease her in the lineups early on in the season. But I can’t see Jay not looking at that potential roster and knowing they could compete for the Natty. He would surely have a plan to have her at full throttle come mid season into post season.

If alyona and kiya came back he could ease her in and imagine the depth! We wouldn’t have to worry about wearing haleigh and kiya down.

The problem with this approach is he won’t actually ease her in…he just won’t use her and, instead, will use Alyona for example (if she comes back for a fifth year, though this may explain the issue with having a scholarship for her in particular) - and that just wouldn’t be best case.

I could see him easing her in the same way he eased Aleah in. She would do 2 or 3 events. I’m cool with that’s especially if she comes in with back issues. As a middle aged lady( that’s weird to think!) back issues and pain never really go away just come and go.

ETA: plus we would still have the other girls coming in. But I see why what you’re saying with alyona. I wouldn’t want Jay to treat her like he did with the super seniors and put her in when she’s not the best option.

I’m hoping that Jay’s eyes have been opened and will stay open going forward. We made it to Nationals after losing multiple gymnasts, including a top AAer. They made it using gymnasts that would have never been allowed to step in and compete if not for injuries to the others. And now, during post season, we have half of our floor lineup doing 2 pass routines when it was 0 to start the season! That’s quite the improvement and I truly believe it is the reason we advanced to Nationals over Michigan. Hopefully Jay remembers this going forward.

Oh, and one thing I have been meaning to ask:

At Regionals in the final round, did Aleah do two layout step outs or did she do just one? I was curious how they would handle that after she fell in the previous round. I wasn’t worried either way as I think she has been so consistent all season that one fall isn’t anything to freak out over but it turned out that every half a tenth counted that day.

Not that it matters but college gym no longer has us no 1 on recruiting for 2024. I think they moved us to 4th. Their stuff doesn’t make much sense to me anyway but I thought I would post.

CGN aggravates me with a lot of their thinking and posts. There isn't one on staff that is an LSU Fan in any sense of the word. Sometimes they are forced to give credit to our team when it is due.

LSU Gold has had an impact on some of the LSU bashers. The link below has 8 or more comments all with minds and some hearts changed in their opinion of LSU. You will be surprised so click on the comments and see!

What y’all are failing to realize is that the recruiting rankings change depending on who actually signed their NLI and is actually going to be coming in next year so compete for us. Without Konnor or Zoe, our ranking dropped below other teams because they increased our strength tenfold. Now if that ends up changing and we get an early recruit from 2025 or either of those 2 decide to join the team in the fall or winter, our ranking goes up. But the current CGN rankings is basically only counting Kylie and Amari as our NLI signees that have a 5 star ranking rather than all 4 girls. It’s not a “we hate LSU” bias thing at all

I don’t think CGN hates us. They just aren’t fond of LSU. Most of the staff has their favorite teams and often expresses it in their posts. They rarely like our leos. I get a laugh out of the leos they rate highly. I just ignore their matter of opinions.

Not sure why I got a down vote. I just posted what they said but whatever. I just finished watching Mac and cheese episode and it made me want to hug alyona. I just love her. I hate that she feels like she’s not enough sometimes.
