Had a few pair around my house early in the summer until maybe 1st of July. Then they disappeared.

Around here they do not. They may make seasonal changes, but they are year-round residents.

We have a pair that has been around all summer and raised 3 broods. Have a few juveniles I've been watching in the yard the past few weeks.

Have you had them around during the summer in previous years?

Could just me that some other food source became available that they preferred over the meal worms.

I don't even bother feeding birds during the summer around my house because they won't touch the feeders.

In NE Lafayette out in the country our 4 blue bird boxes on the pasture fences are always used. Like purple Martina they like the grass and weeds low around the base. But the will use a good bluebird box as well as a wood duck will use a good wood duck box. Love bluebirds.

I’ve had a couple that sit on my back fence most of the day everyday. Have not seen them in weeks.
That’s all I can tell you

Maybe they moved up here in NW Arkansas. Each afternoon there are around 20 of them in my two birdbaths this time of the year. I have to refill the birdbaths twice a day sometimes.

There was one brood hatched this year in their birdhouse.

We live near Town Center and have a couple chicken hawks hanging around that we’ve seen go after some cardinals…don’t know if they’d go after blue jays…hope not, but haven’t had as many sitings of them this year.

They are likely just shifting the area they use during the winter. Many species are year-round residents, but will shift the specific areas they use based on the season. Wood ducks do it in some areas, largely due to hunting pressure. Robins are a great example. They live here year round, but tend to be more woodland species until certain times of the year when those familiar flocks will converge on yards.

Titmice seem to be another bird that shift patterns by season. We rarely see them from late spring to early fall, but from late fall to early spring, they are frequent visitors to our feeders.

They are seen year round in much of Louisiana, but that does not mean that they nest all year. Their diets and seasonal behaviors move them into the edges of fields rather than in the houses that you provide during Fall and Winter months. If you watch the edges carefully, you will likely see them.

I saw bluebirds yesterday, but I am in NW Florida. When it is hot, you see them in the birdbaths a lot.
