Nice little flick. Stars Channing Tatum. Not going to win any awards or anything, but I enjoyed it.

We actually just watched last night and finished this morning. Nice little story. Was a bit surprised it was as irreverent as it was at some moments as well as many touching moment.

And while this board can go hard on wokism, this movie was the antithesis of woke in kinda a weird way. Like noticeably going after it.

I don’t care either way but this board’s obsession with it, I guess could be a factor.

My Morning Jacket and Sturgill got some love in there too. My daughter is 10 (loves dogs) and after we left the movie she started drawing pictures of the movie dog and herself, saying she saw bits and pieces of herself in the dog. It was pretty sweet.

Watched this again with my folks on Saturday. Just a damn good feel-good flick. The funeral scene of course made me tear up again.

Funny thought: the scene where Tatum is walking down the desert road with Lulu on the last leg of the trip with Alabama Shakes "Hold On" playing is undoubtedly the biggest pop culture moment Athens, Alabama has ever had.
