I think Xi knows this which is why he got very aggressive with Taiwan when Biden took office when he laid off on them when Trump was in office. If the Ukrainian invasion went as planned for the Russians, I do think Xi would have invaded Taiwan by now, but that invasion is just amateur compared to what is needed for overtaking Taiwan. It’s a Switzerland in the middle of the ocean.

Just the possibility of Trump being re-elected in 2024 is influencing them right now.
This isn’t why they’re doing it. If they were to have all their ducks in a row and had an actual good plan, now is the moment the CCP has been waiting for for nearly 80 years. It’s just such a daunting invasion I think has everything to do with Russia fricking up in Ukraine.

They know what’s facing them. Taiwan wouldn’t give in to that. Look at Ukraine as an example.

Sounds like Xi is aware that a changing of the guard in the US will not occur until 2028. He knows 2024 is already in the bag for the CCP sympathizers here in America.
