"that's a man who doesn't want to fight"
yeah, he's acting.

I remember arguing with my elementary school friends about who won.

There was a saved by the bell rewatch podcast that went on for like 40 episodes/40 rewatch episodes with MPG and some dude who is so nasally that I refuse to believe he wasn’t talking while pinching his nose. shite got canceled but before they did, the host legitimately said that America should not celebrate the Fourth of July as a holiday

Anti-Zack bias is strong.
Zack had the first shove and first punch. No way he "didn't want to fight".

The notion that a guy who “doesn’t want to fight” is weak is dumb.
There are good and legitimate reasons to not want to fight besides being excessively worried about losing.
Smart fighters choose to fight only as a last resort, but when confronted with that situation don’t hesitate.
It’s a repeated theme and a standard marker for the classic hero in westerns. Think about Shane, or Gregory Peck’s character in The Big Country.

Zack won because his hair never lost its place. I so wanted his hair back then.

I think they did a great job of making both of them seem like badasses. Both of them were too alpha to lose a fight. They threw haymakers at each other which both of them were able to absorb.

This is one of the best Breakdowns I've seen in a long time. Just reconfirmed that Zach was a pussy. I was cracking up lol.

Obviously Belding stepped in per the script to save face for Zach in the show.
Realistically, Slater is the wrestler, the UFC guy, ground and pound...and Zach is fighting like he's at a Wal-Mart parking lot.

He needs to do a Cory vs Shawn from Boy Meets World.

It doesn’t seem like Slater the wrestler jock should have any trouble with Zack
