Boutte was open everytime he was in a pass pattern.

There is some good game film of passes that JD didn't make when the receivers, specifically Boutte, were open.
What I see is that JD is not making anticipatory throws where he leads the receiver into the open window.
I know that Nuss is not ready but JD has to start making those throws. He's got to let go of the ball and trust his receivers.

would say it’s more about trusting his own pre snap reads and decision making than it is about trusting his receivers

While he does need to see the WRs better, he made a good anticipation throw that should have been a TD against FSU. The announcers pointed out that Boutte didn't look for the ball at all and it was right where it needed to be.
Boutte clearly has a talent for getting open though, so he needs to look his way a lot.

Hopefully Daniels will get there as he settles in. Kelly praised him today for making that TD throw to Bech rather than tucking it.

Is there a link to this all-22 film?

takes ALL of them time to get to that point
he will improve as the line and running game improves
at least he isn't turning the ball over.

This guy does a really good job of detailing some of the misses.

y’all sure have a lot of pointers for a guy who’s been nothing but reliable thus far.
max johnson would be shitting himself with this o line

I think Daniels is fine. And I think you did way too much work on this. And I don’t even think you know fully what you’re talking about or looking at.

If only we had had a QB who stays in the pocket and goes through his professions, is accurate, has a big arm but doesn’t make boneheaded YOLO throws.
Oh wait…

He’s be dead behind this line. Good thing we have JD.

If JD doesn't have WR anticipation now he will likely not develop it this season. This is something that he will have to focus on during the off season and in particular with his wideouts, Jack Bech, Brian Thomas Jr., Malik Nabers and Chris Hilton. He as to develop trust with his WRs and that just takes time and work. It's not an overnight fix.
I believe Joe Brady gets too much credit for the 2019 championship but this is one thing that he emphasized during the off season with Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson. He help them get the timing down before fall camp.
If you don't have timing down with your WRs before the season begins it is very difficult to develop it over the season. There is just not enough time during the week in college.

I think they’re going to protect a lot better going forward with Wire on the bench.

You must have missed the part where Jordan Rogers pointed out that Boutte was drawing double coverage and that ball was supposed to go to one of 3 receivers on the left side that were all single covered and wide open...
I saw the same analysis earlier in the week and actually was surprised he brought it up. But yes he did say even though JD should not have thrown it to him he should have been looking and caught it...

I think the OL will be more cohesive as a group with Turner at center. We just have to hope that Turner can hold up against some of the big and talented DTs he will face.

Jesus dude. Will you get off his dick already? He’s gone. Never coming back.

You are correct that Daniels needs to be able to do this to get to the next level. Hopefully he can.
That said, a good 50-75% of college QBs can’t do this consistently. Either they don’t have the processing speed, the nerve, or either. That’s why things like one read RPOs and QBs who can hurt you with their legs are so popular. The more you can spread a defense out and make them guess, the easier it is for a QB to be successful without having to make multiple reads and throw into really tight windows.

Sorry I wanted the him over the one-read scrambler or the guy who rolls to his left and throws late into triple coverage.
