The young man defended his family, and did great. He must be congratulated, but also his family must show him love and support. Why? Never underestimate how much killing someone can affect a person, even when that person is in the right.
If you don't believe me, read some autobiographies of some of the greatest war heroes of our time.

Yea, the people who who say it's a feel good story, blah blah blah, are really naive to the effect this can have on anyone, much less a kid.

Certainly can still appreciate the kid protecting his himself and his family but I'm fairly sure that it would be better for him if this just never happened.
