my daughter and I have a tradition of buying 5 or so egg sacks every year and hatching them. When I was in 3rd grade, my mom was big into organic gardening and made me do a report on them. We hatched a ton into her garden. Ive been fascinated with them ever since.
I found this egg sack in the yard a couple weeks ago.
I saw quite a few tiny, just hatched mantises one time. Little bitty things.

Seems like you can’t find a foothold no matter what you do
Should I help him up?

Leaf cutter ants are pretty cool.We used to have a huge colony on our property, they would strip all the leaves off bunches of beauty berry bushes.
We still have the beauty berries but no ants.
